What matters?

A lot of things need to work well together for you to have an awesome wedding. Awesome. Not flawless. Unless you have a dedicated team of coordinators the wedding will definitely hit bumpy roads. But what helps?

  • Have a designated person in charge of communication so you’re not consumed by your phone the whole day.

  • Delegate things. DIY weddings are super popular these days and I personally love them too but the day of the wedding you shouldn’t be gluing rhinestones to the centerpiece vases. Either let some ideas go or delegate things to other people. Things might not be perfectly perfect but as part of the whole picture they will be great.

  • Sewing kit. I personally carry this one at whole times but if you’re not hiring me I’d look into having some small emergency kits. We have had dresses stay loose, buttons pop off. Nothing a quick 35 second sewing by me can’t fix.

  • Don’t be so consumed by the wedding day adjustments that you forget to be in the present. Nothing could possibly be so wrong that it ruins your wedding day. But enjoying it is a very important little detail that most of my brides wish they did more.

What matters the most? A lot of these things do.

But love. Love takes number one.
